MY VALUES PHILANTHROPY

Call it karma, or reaping what you sow in life. Whatever you call it, the principle is the same – of giving back and supporting those less fortunate than yourself, and Wesley Kogelman lives by this principle.

For years, especially when he became the owner of timeshare advertising company BuyaTimeshare.com, and more recently self-storage company MiBOX of Central NH, Kogelman put into practice the ability to give his resources to various organizations in an effort to improve the lives of those around him.

A cause that is very dear to Wesley Kogelman in his home state of New Hampshire is the work of Make-A-Wish New Hampshire. He financially donates to make wishes come true for children suffering from a critical illness, as well as supports the group’s annual Rafting for Wishes fundraising event held in July in Meredith Bay and on land at Hesky Park.

In keeping with his desire to help the disadvantaged, Kogelman has also financially supported groups such as the Granite State Children's Alliance (helping victims of child abuse in New Hampshire), Brigid's House of Hope (providing safe housing for survivors of Human Trafficking), and Special Olympics New Hampshire.

Send Me On Vacation is another example of Kogelman’s understanding that he has been blessed and, therefore, wants to bless others. SMOV provides vacations to women battling breast cancer in the hope that a holiday will help them recharge and rejuvenate while they undergo such a personal crisis, and Kogelman has given financial sponsorships to the group to provide vacations for these deserving women.

CHaD is another way Wesley Kogelman has given of his time and corporate resources, supporting efforts to raise money for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD). He has not only given money to the group’s top fundraising event, the Battle of the Badges All-Star Hockey Championship, but he has previously organized a pre-game event at a local Manchester, NH restaurant to raise additional money for the organization.

For his charitable efforts, Wesley Kogelman was named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Club Foundation in recognition of his contributions made to The Rotary Foundation. The Paul Harris Society supports Foundation grant activities around the world. From disease prevention and treatment to water sanitation and literacy, each Paul Harris Fellow is a part of the ongoing improvement of heath, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.

Kogelman has made contributions to several fundraisers and has helped to organize events for the Rotary group, including traveling with a group of Rotarians to Honduras to assist in building schools, hospitals, and water purifying stations.

This consistent track record of philanthropic activity is what has defined Kogelman’s lifestyle and underpinned the success he has achieved as one of New Hampshire’s leading small business entrepreneurs.
